SCIENCE BASED APPROACH

EXPERTISE IN ECOLOGICAL AND ECONOMICAL PLANNING MODELING, MAPPING AND TRAINING

We specialize in the development of prescribed fire burn unit

plans that meet national standards to reduce  your liability, increase safety and protect reources from the treat of wildfires. Ray has written burn plans in habitats ranging from prairies of the Great Plains, shrub-steppe in the Great Basin, forests of the Pacific Northwest and high elevation mixed conifer and Gamble oak in New Mexico.

Ray assisted the development of prescribed fire Training Exchanges (TREX), an experiential training that focuses on knowledge sharing, capacity building and increasing qualifications. Smoked Goose conducted smoke behavior prediction modeling and monitoring for TREX's in New Mexico and California. We can reduce your liability by modeling your smoke plume trajectory, concentration, particle vertical positions and plume time of arrival at given points on the ground.
